What Is Bupropion (Wellbutrin)?

Bupropion, a prescription, may be sold under the brand Wellbutrin. It may be used in two tablets. These two forms seem to be immediate- and extended-release. Adults with depression may take one hundred milligram doses of this medication twice a day. This seems to apply to the immediate-release tablets. A maintenance dose may be three hundred milligrams daily, to a maximum of four hundred milligrams. Some conditions may need a lower dose, such as if patients have kidney or liver issues.
